William James

William Harvey James (Bill) age 79 of lancing passed away suddenly January 27, 2015. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: William and Irby Greer-James formerly of Oak Ridge, sons: Michael and Nathan James and daughter: Donna Lynn James all of Morgan County.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Jane James of Lancing
Sons: Carl Richardson-James of Oak Ridge and Tommy James of Lancing
Daughters: Deanna Phillips and husband Keith, Mossy Grove, Becky Torbett and husband Baron, Athens, Cathy McClendon and husband David, Lancing
Sister : Dorothy Jean Winslow, Oak Ridge
A host of adoring Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Bill was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and shortly thereafter became a devoted member of the local #5 sheet metal workers international association. Bill took great pride in his craft and was quick to share his skills and knowledge with anyone thirsty to learn. Bill served as an impeccable model of honesty and excellence in both his craft and as the head of his household. His Loves in life were his family, his farm and above all his heavenly father JEHOVAH God, with whom he spoke to and relied on daily for guidance and strength. As Bill sleeps today in death we can all take comfort in the truth of JEHOVAH'S promise. While today our hearts feel empty, the day is fast approaching when God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things will have passed away. Bill's faith in this promise never wavered. As his journey through this life came to a close, his thoughts were not those of sadness and fear, but rather those of hope and anticipation for the new system of things that await us. Rest well Dad, and I will look ever forward to the day we meet again.
