William David Aytes

William “David” Aytes, of Frankfort, passed away at home Saturday, September 14th, just days after turning 73 years old. David worked at Schubert Funeral Home and Morgan Farmers Co-op. As a young man he enjoyed spending time on Clear Creek and the Obed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jolene Bowlin Aytes and father Royal “Sonny” Aytes, sister-in-law Sheila Johnson Aytes, mother and father-in-law Garfield and Lena Mae Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rose Jones Aytes formerly from Coalfield, two children Sonya Aytes Williams (James) and Travis Aytes, brother Gary Aytes (Glenna) and sister Kathy Muse (Tom), a host of nieces and nephews, and an aunt Billie Rhea Osbourne.

While we do not store up our treasures on earth, David’s grandsons Rylan and Crimson Aytes, were his pride and joy.

The family has chosen cremation. No services are scheduled.
