Willene Allen, of the Joyner community

Willene G. Allen, age 75, of Joyner Community went to her heavenly home on February 13, 2018.

Willene grew up in the Frost Bottom Community in Anderson County. Graduated from Oliver Springs High School and worked at K25 and retired from Y12. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening, reading and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Frank Galbraith; brother, Samuel Galbraith; sister, Nancy Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny; daughter, Melissa (Jackie) Christopher; nephew, Clyde and Kerri Shelton; grandniece, April and Joey McAllister; grandchildren, Samantha Martin, Morgan Christopher and a host of friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5-7 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Graveside service will be Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Steve Seiber officiating.
