Wilford Hicks

Mr. Wilford Lee Hicks age 74 went home to be with the Lord on March 3rd, 2013. On March 4th, he celebrated his 75th birthday with Jesus. Mr. Hicks was a born again Christian and when health permitted attended Greenwood Church. Mr. Hicks served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for some time.

Mr. Hicks said "Life is about attitude, if you can't change it, accept it and go on." His faith in God along with this attitude made him an inspiration during his long illness.

He is preceded in death by his mother Margie "Adkinson" Hicks and father Tillman Hicks of Clarkrange.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Ettie Jo Hicks of Sunbright
Sons: Robert Hicks of Sunbright, James and wife Lynn Hicks of Griffin, Ga
Daughter: Lisa and husband Chris Russell of Sunbright
Brother: Kenneth Hicks of Sunbright
Sisters: Dorine and husband Jim Devaney of Harriman and Doris Lawson of Rockwood
Brother: Bill and wife Linda Hicks of Stillwater, OK
Mr. Hicks had 9 grandchildren: (Johnathan, Dustin, Halee Hicks of Sunbright, Natalie Diaz of Crossville, Brian Bledsoe and Aaron Moore of Griffin GA, Autumn, Mariah and Hollyann Russell of Sunbright.
3 Great Grandchildren: Bradley, Bethany and Sage Bledsoe of Griffin GA
A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Schubert Funeral Home Sunbright. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Charles Webb officiating.
A graveside service will be held in the Neal Cemetery, Deer Lodge Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00AM.
