Mrs. Virginia Kathleen Fulwiler, age 89 of Glenmary passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012.
Kathleen was born in Glenmary, TN., Sept. 13, 1922 and lived there most of her life. She graduated at Robbins High School in 1940 and accepted Christ in 1936 and was a charter member of Glenmary Baptist Church, before moving her membership to Central Baptist in Kingston, TN. Kathleen became a member of Kingston Chapter #405 O.E.S. in 1959 and was a member for over 50 years . She was the last surviving great grand daughter of John Lewallen, the first sheriff of Scott Co., 1850 - 1858. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Howell J. Fulwiler, infant son, parents, John and Lydia Landrum Lewallen , four brothers, Hugh, who was killed in 1918, World War I , Archie, George and Raymond Lewallen, four sisters; Ernie Huckaby, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nellie and Louvania Lewallen, of Glenmary and Mary Etta Lewallen of Harriman.
Surviving Ms. Fulwiler is one son: James Gregory Fulwiler of Glenmary
Several nieces, great nieces and great nephews also, left behind are the staff of Mark's Family Pharmacy and additional family, Sharon, Sami, Sydney and Jesse Brawner.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 6:00 6to 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Kyle Beverly officiating. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday January 8, 2012 at Lewallen Cemetery in Glenmary.
