Velma Kreis

Mrs. Velma Cooper Kreis, age 91, went to be with her Lord on November 15, 2013. She was born August 21, 1922 to Joseph and Mary Cooper. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Arnold Lewis Kreis; sisters; Anna Mae Smith and Georgia Cooper, brothers; Chester and Billy Cooper.

Velma was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by:
Son: J.D. Kreis and wife Mary Lou
Daughter: Patsy Kreis Aslinger and husband Thomas
Grandchildren: Angie Kreis Jones and husband David, Mikey Kreis, Travis Aslinger and wife Denise, Crystal Kline and husband Eric, Jacob Aslinger and wife Stacey.
Great grandchildren: Eric Jones and wife Jerrica, Christopher Jones, Henry and Oliver Kline, and Madilynn Aslinger.
Great great grandchildren: Jaxon and Jentri Jones
Special Sister: Margaret Cooper
Sisters-in-law: Juanita Smith, Ruth Kreis, Rema Kreis, Eileen Sackett, Barbara Cooper
Brothers-in-law: M.C. Kreis, Everett Kreis, Billy Kreis and wife Susie
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and other friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 6-8 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 12 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor David Graves and Pastor Stephen Skov officiating. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to funeral services. Interment will follow in the Morgan Memorial Gardens, Wartburg.
