Velma Armes

Mrs. Velma Armes age 89 of Wartburg passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Riley Armes, Sons: Robert and Johnny Armes, Daughter: Betty Smith and Son in law: George Byrge, Sister: Hazel Strunk, and Brothers: Willie and Huster Rayder.

Mrs. Armes is survived by One Daughter: Shirley Byrge of Oliver Springs
Sons: Tommy and Inez Armes of Coalfield and Riley David and Mary Armes of Joyner
Daughter-in-laws: Mary Armes of Pilot Mountain and Nancy Armes of Joyner
Son-in-law: Mack Smith of Kingston
A host of grand and great grand children
Several other friends and relatives

The family would like to express their Thanks to the entire staff at Life Care Center in Morgan County for the great care they took in caring for Mrs. Armes.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Bridges officiating. Graveside Services will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00AM in the Tioga Cemetery, New River.
