Thomas Copas

Mr. Thomas Lee Copas age 83 of Knoxville, TN passed away Tuesday December 20, 2011 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a retired Major after serving 42 years of active and reserve duties in the Army. He was retired from the National Academy of Science in Washington D.C. Mr. Copas was preceded in death by his parents Orgie and Ola Evans Copas and a brother John H. Copas.

Mr. Copas is survived by his wife Mrs. Charmie R. Copas, son; Mitchell E. and wife Donita Copas, daughters; Noma and husband Jim Fleming, Valoray and husband John T. Waller, grandsons; Justin L. Fleming and Johnathan L. Waller, great-grandson; Garrett A. Waller and great-grandaughter; Cierra Brooke Waller, Sister; Helen A Copas, Aunt; Verna Barnes, sister-in-law Jewel Copas and brother-in-law; William Ryon.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg.
