Ted Henry Byrge, of Stephens Community

Ted Henry Byrge, of Stephens, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.  He was surrounded by his family.  He was 71 years old.  He was born to Elsic (Greasy) and Snow Dear Anderson Byrge of the Stephens Community. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother: Clifton Byrge, Sister:  Mary Lou Worley, Brothers-in-law:  Frank Sexton and William “Bill” Brys. Nephew:  Keith Brys, Nieces:  Francine Singleton and Marilyn “Dee Dee” Bridges, and Great Nephew:  J.C. Singleton.

He is survived by his Son:  Terry Byrge.

3 Sisters:  Peggy Sexton of Wartburg, Betty Brys of Stephens and JoAnn (Glen “Motto”) Massengill of Stephens.

Also surviving is a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Special Friends:  Claude Wilson, Eddie Hembree and Eugene Lloyd.

Ted was a kind Loving Person with a big heart and loved his family.   Ted never met a stranger, he will be greatly missed.  Ted was tired and ready to go home.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5-7 pm Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.  Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Bro. Jim Disney officiating.  Graveside service will be Tuesday, 11am at the Stephens Cemetery, in the Stephens Community.
