Susie Norman

Susie (Goodman) Norman, 83 of Wartburg went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2012.

She was born on April 23, 1928 to the late Franklin and Maude (Carroll) Goodman. She was married to the late Alex Junior Norman and was a loving Christian wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, sewing, crocheting and music; but more than anything else, enjoyed telling people about her love for Jesus and His love for them.

In addition to her parents and husband, Susie was preceded in death by her son: Doug Norman, granddaughter: TaraLaine Armstrong, siblings: Bertha Swint, Eva Jones, Charity Lowe, Mary Ruth Hickle, Pauline Lucado, Franklin Goodman, Jr., Alvin Goodman and JoAnn Campbell.

She is survived by her children Gordon Norman and wife Eilene of Lafayette, Indiana, Harold Norman of Wartburg, Tennessee, Phyllis Norman Armstrong Jarnagin and husband Ken of Hoover, Alabama and daughter-in-law Linda Norman of Kingston, Tennessee. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Lisa Norman Hudson , Daniel Norman, Dinah Norman Lamberson and husband Allen, Kellie Wujek and husband Tom, Andrew Norman, Alex Norman, Chris Jarnagin , Brandon Armstrong, Sara Jarnagin and Caitlin Armstrong.

Mamaw Susie is also survived by twelve wonderful Great-GrandChildren, Caleb, Luke and Grace Hudson, Jacob, Mackenzie, Jack, Zackary, Susannah, James and Emylou Lamberson, Parker Jo Wujek and Ava Jarnagin. In addition she is survived by her loving sisters: Louise Risen of Louisville, Kentucky and Ara Mae Davis of Dayton, Ohio.

Susie also has a host of special nieces, nephews and extended family whom she loved dearly. Special thank you to Alice for your care, love, support and "Driving Miss Susie". Aunt Susie always appreciated you taking such good care of her and her beloved dog Callie.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Thompson and his staff, Jo and Covenant Hospice, PCM and staff especially Pam, Kathy and Lori.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow with Reverend Herbert Judkins officiating. Interment will be at Morgan Memorial Gardens in Wartburg.
