Steve Helton

Mr. Steve "Lightning" Helton age 60, of Oakdale, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Steve was a 1970 graduate of Oakdale High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served on the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. Lightning had a kind heart and friendly smile and was loved and will be missed by many. Steve was preceded in death by his father and mother Carl and Mildred Helton of Oakdale, and Brother Danny Helton.

He is survived by sisters: Chris Carter & Julie Comer
Brothers: Mark & Tommy Helton
Nephews: Danny Carl Helton, Art Rivers, Clifton Carter, Joshua & Jacob Helton
Nieces: Amber Kirby & Amelia Comer
Great-nephew: Austin Helton
Great-nieces: Madyson, Audrey & Gracie Helton
Steve will be missed by many other family members and friends.

Memorial services will be at the White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, Oakdale, Tuesday September 18, 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Danny Jenkins officiating.
