Shelby Griffith

Shelby Jean Griffith of Petros, born July 17, 1938, passed away November 14, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Melody Harris; daughter Christina Griffith; and siblings Hallie Conner and John Harris

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Freddy Griffith
Son and daughter-in-law Joey and Marianne Griffith; daughter and son-in-law Ben and Sherry Kirker
Grandson and wife Jeremy and LeeAnn Griffith and great grandson Jase Griffith
Sisters Betty Bunch and Ethelene Phillips along with a host of nieces and nephews

She was a member of the Petros Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, bible school, and RA's. She was a 50 plus year member of the Eastern Star #364 and also helped organize the Morgan County Senior Citizens field day. She touched the lives of many children of the Petros community.

The family will receive friends Monday November 16 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. There will be an Easter Star Service at 7 pm and the funeral service will follow with Dr. Jim West officiating. The graveside will be held Tuesday November 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the Petros Cemetery.
