Shawn Nixon

Announcing the passing of life into abundant spiritual life of Shawn Alan Nixon age 41, March 3, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center. He served his country in the Armed Forces during his short but intense life span. He was Born as a Military child in Frankfort Germany Feb 5, 1973. He spent some of his time serving in the ministry of our Lord. Shawn was an ordained Minister and associate Pastor in Elizabethton, TN. Shawn had several photos of cars he painted featured in Hot Wheels Magazine. Succumbing after fighting a battle with a lengthy illness. Leaving behind a legacy of family and friends who loved him.

Son of William Smith Nixon Jr. and Rebecca Ann Young Nixon, Sunbright, Tennessee and the grandson of the late Rev. Roscoe and Violet Virginia Young of the Burrville Community in Morgan County, TN. Wonderful Step-Father: Rev. Edward John Worthley from the Burrville Community

Surviving Shawn are his children; Tonya Nixon, Debbie Nixon, Ben Nixon of Kansas City, MO and John Aaron Nixon.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 with Bro. Charles Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sunbright TN.
