Sarah Smarsh

Sarah Wanell Smarsh, age 79 passed away February 9, 2016 at her home in Wartburg, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel Kennedy and Maggie Kennedy Phillips; brothers, Chuck Kennedy, Frank Kennedy and Danny Kennedy; sisters, Carolyn Human and Thelma Brown.

She is survived by her husband John Smarsh; sons and daughter-in-law, John Smarsh Jr., David Smarsh and Joseph and Lisa Smarsh; daughter, Patricia Smarsh; 3 grandchildren, Tara Armes, Steven Smarsh and Thomas Smarsh; 2 great grandchildren, Jason Smarsh and Emily Smarsh; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Clifford Howard; brother, George Kennedy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bud and Rose Rusick and also several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February, 13, 2106 from 4:00 to 6:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. There will be a Mass at St. Ann Catholic Church, Lancing at 1:30PM, Sunday February 14, 2016 with Father Mike Sweeney officiating. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge, TN.
