Sammy Wright

Sam E. Wright, 74 of Glen Mary, TN passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. His career was in public education fulfilling roles of teacher, coach, administrator and superintendent of Harriman City Schools. In retirement he served as a Scott County school board member, a 2nd District County Commissioner and an organizer of the Robbins Community Park. Sam thoroughly enjoyed his family, friends, church and work throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by parents, Lonnie and Geneva Wright and daughter, Libby.

Left to cherish his memory are wife Sandra; daughters, Rene' and husband Tracy, Dee-Dee and Sam, and Cathy; son, Kirby and wife Martha; grandsons, Lance, Bryce, Christopher, Joe and Christian; granddaughters, Whitney, Ashley, Sami, Emily, Rebecca and Madison; great grandsons, Kane and Ryder; great granddaughters, Kylee and Taylor; brother, Lonnie and wife Judy; special nephews, Mike and Gary; sisters in-law, Doris, Pauline and husband Commodore and Mary; and many beloved family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00PM, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Schubert F
Funeral Home, Sunbright. Funeral Services will follow with Bro. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will be in the Coal Hill Cemetery, Glenmary, TN.

Pallbearers for Mr. Wright will be Bryce Babb, Christopher Harness, Joe Willis, Tracy Lawson, Michael Wright and Gary Wright

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sam's memory to Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 215, Robbins, TN 37852.
