Ruth Phillips

Ruth "Mae" Phillips age 79 passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center. She was born on October 30, 1932 in New River of Anderson County. She was a member of New pilot Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, nannie and sister. She is preceded in death by sons: Larry Gene and Gary Lynn Phillips. Parents: Emitt and Dicie (Phillips) Massengale and by a sister: Jurline Martin

She is survived by daughter: Glenda (Ronnie) Supeck daughter-in-law: Brenda Phillips, granddaughter: Pam (Jeff) Wright, great-grandson: Hayden Wright all of Petros, step- granddaughter: Melissa (Jared) Emmett, step great-grandsons: Jacob and Grayson Emmett all of Clinton, brothers: E.J. (Vella) Massengale of Greeneville, SC, Edward (Adell) Massengale, Emitt Jr. "Bubby" (Barbara) Massengale all of Petros . a host of other relatives and friends.. She also leaves behind a special cousin Melva (Phillips) McKamey and special friends Loudevene Bowles, Marvine Rainey and Maxine Harris.

A special thanks to the Amedys Home Health and Hospice Nurses, also to the Methodist Medical Doctors, 4-West Staff for the care they gave.

The family will receive friends on Monday December 26, 2011 from 12 to 2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will follow with Bro. David Tapp and Bro. Wayne Nelson Officiating. Interment will be in the Petros Cemetery
