Russell Hawn

Russell J. Hawn, age 59 of Oakdale went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville. He was a simple, Christian man with a big smile and a big heart, an extraordinary family man and a friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed sharing his faith especially with the many people he met through his work over the years with Barger Construction. He was a deacon at Boswell Chapel, the church he loved and served. His meekness made him strong and he never failed to give God praise for all His benefits. He is preceded in death by his father: James K. Hawn, and niece: Teresa.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Mary (Ruppe) Hawn
2 children: Cheyenna and Levi
2 Granddaughters: Brooke and Josie
Mother: Pauline Hawn, Oakdale

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00AM in the B.R. Ruppe Cemetery, Oakdale with Bro. Chuck Wilborn, Bro. Kerry Ruppe, Bro. Tim Ruppe and Bro. Robert Laymance officiating.
