Ruby Hazel Young, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday Morning, September 27, 2011, at Life Care Of Morgan County, where she was a resident for several years. This has been Ruby's prayer for a few years, to go home to be with the Lord and see her family again.
I was reading Ruby's diary and it spoke of the girl from Morgan County, going to the city. Dayton, Ohio for the first time, I was just thinking, when she wrote this, she never dreamed of how much we would enjoy reading it. She tells of various jobs she has had over the years, life in general. Ruby would tell you, if she could.. Just how blessed she has been.
She was a licensed board certified cosmetologist in the state of Ohio, where she worked for years As a young girl, I remember her coming to visit in the Summer and giving us haircuts, we really looked forward to those..
Ruby retired from Dayton Mental Hospital, Dayton Ohio, and went to Denver Colorado where she spent some time with her sister, Ann and her husband, Al Pacheco. After spending a few years there she decided to move back to Tennessee.
Harold, Jim, Kim and I traveled to Denver and moved her back to Tennessee, in the 70's. She settled in Wartburg, where she was a resident there for 25 years, before going to Life Care.
She was a member of Star of Hope Chapel, Wartburg TN.
