Ruby Armes

Ruby Jewel (Daugherty) Armes age 81 of the Armes Chapel Community in Wartburg. Born, April 7, 1935 went home peacefully to be with her Savior, Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, September 12, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Lucy Daugherty. Her husband, Roosevelt Armes, 2 infant sons, Robert and Randy and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine and husband, Bill Brackett, Ella and husband, Jeff Beard. 3 sons, Sonny Armes and wife Sarah, Marty and Benny Armes.

Grandchildren and spouses, Devin and Nikki, Matthew, Sonya and Kevin, Mindy, Shawn and Shauna, Scotty, Stephanie, Jeffery and Donita, Jeremy and Dawn, Amy and Paul, Justin and Dawn, Jason and Christina. 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sisters, Gertrude, Mary and Judy and brother, James.

Special appreciation to Hospice Care Nurse, Brenda Smith and Quality Private Duty CNA, Velda Beasley.

The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral will be held Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Covington Baptist Church in Wartburg at 2:00 P.M. with interment to follow with Bro. Jeff Beard and Dennis Armes officiating.
