Ruben Hamby

Sam Ruben Hamby age 70 of Greasy Creek, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2013 at the Methodist Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Sam Hamby, Brother Farrell Hamby and infant sister Marilyn Sue Hamby.
Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years Delores June Hamby
Children: Cynthia Seaton, Sylvia Melhorn and Esau and Wife Mandy Hamby
Grandchildren: Nickolas Akins, Samantha Akins, Olivia Melhorn, Jesse Melhorn and Malory Hamby
Mother: Nola Hamby
Siblings: Shirley Evelyn and Larry Cole, Phillip Hamby, Creless Hamby, Shelia and Tommy Hardin, Jerry and Lois Hamby
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 6-8 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg, with services following with Bro. Tim Hamby officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
