Roger Payne of Wartburg, TN

On Thursday 19 January 2019 Roger D. “Big Rog” Payne Sr. a loving father of four children passed away peacefully at the age of 71.

Roger was born on 27 June 1947 in Charleston, WV.  Proud Army Veteran 1966-1968, and avid Cleveland Browns fan. He held various jobs after his Army tour, but found his niche in the construction trades.

He is survived by his sons, Roger Jr and family, Shawn and family, Andy and family, Joey; brother, Felix Jr; sister-in-law, Debbie Payne; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Felix Sr, mother Lucille; brother, Floyd Sr., and sister Chris Whitley.

No viewing or funeral service will be held.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the care givers and staff of the Life Care Center of Morgan County for the superior care and compassion that they gave him.
