Roger Hensley, of Petros , TN

Roger Hensley age, 60, went to live with the Lord January 24, 2019.

He was an amazing loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and grandfather (bop). Everyone that knew him knew that he was incredibly kind, funny, and hardworking and loved his family deeply each and every one of them.  He was always there for anyone that needed him.  The highlight of his life was his wife, kids and family.  He always wanted everyone to be happy and get along. He loved all of us! His soul purpose in life was devoting his love and life to his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Raymond and JoAnn Hensley; special nephew, Brian Hensley and beloved granddaughter, Mackenzie Duncan.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tina Hensley; children, Jacob and wife, Karie Hensley, Mercedes and husband, Travis Duncan, TC Duncan, Jimmie and wife, Taylor Duncan and Mariah Hensley; brothers, Russ and wife, Mary Ann, Jerry and belated wife, Sue Hensley, Wayne and wife, Carol Hensley; sisters, Teresa and Linda Hensley and Mary Lou Hensley and John Daughtery; grandchildren, Anthony Duncan, Jace & Jocelyn Hensley, Zeven, Maleigha, Kai and Kieran, Jake, Cargon and Sadie Duncan and Julian Gunter.

A very special thanks to the best cousins that a person could have and best friend, April Armes.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Lonnie Lowe officiating.  Interment will follow in the Petros Cemetery in Petros, TN.
