Robert West of Harriman, TN

Mr. Robert Joe West, a Harriman resident, was born on September 29, 1954 on New River in Devonia, TN.  He was delivered by a midwife, Aunt Julie Lowe. He went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2019. He was a member of Big Mountain Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Lloyd West and mother, Anna Laura Lively West; grandparents: Abraham and Ollie West, and Charlie and Rosemary Lively; brother, Randall West; brother-in-law, Reverend Jerry Gouge; nieces: Vanessa Gouge and Shelena Baker; and his special friends: Rodney Marlow and Bob Picca.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Ollie Aslinger and husband, Jason Aslinger of Sevierville, TN; granddaughters: Sabrina and Breann Aslinger of Sevierville, and Sierra Wilson of Coalfield; grandsons: Thomas and Lukus Aslinger, and Dalton Kowalski of Sevierville; step-daughters, Dorothy Ervin and Brenda Kowalski; Brothers: Eddie Dean West and wife, Janie of Harriman, Donnie West and wife, Donna of Petros, James West and wife, Glena of Wartburg, Danny West of Coalfield, and Roy West of Oliver Springs; sisters: Beatrice Gouge of Coalfield, Nella Reynolds of Oliver Springs, Mary Russell and husband, Donald Ray of Coalfield, and Cathy Russell and husband, Eugene of Clinton; aunt, Rannie Davis of Oliver Springs; his special and loved friend, ex-wife, Connie Ray; special cousin, Richard Gibson; and a host of loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, February 12, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Bro. Donnie Tinker and Bro. Don Russell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family  requests donations to be made to Schubert Funeral Home.
