Robert Monday

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of Robert (Shorty) Monday. Born in Alticrest, TN to the parents of Byrd & Ollie Monday, Bob just celebrated his 84th birthday in January, and died after a brief illness on February 13, 2010.

Bob joined the Navy in 1948 and served for 4 ½ years. He lived in California where he was an accountant for most of his career before returning to Rugby,TN in 1985.

He will be missed by his family, son Jeffrey, his wife LuAnne, grand-daughters Lauren and Julia, of Ponte Vedra Beach,FL., his daughter Susan, and his son Gary, grandsons Tyler and Bradley Monday, of Camarillo, CA., sisters Shirley Faye Edwards, her husband, Doug, of Harriman, TN., Ruth Waller of Elfers, FL. His family reunion in heaven includes his parents, Byrd and Ollie Monday, his brothers Ray and James, his sister Audrey, and many friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Christ Church Rugby from 10:00- 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will follow.
