Robert Conner

Robert Sherman Conner, age 60, of Rockwood, TN., passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Parkwest Hospital, Knoxville, TN. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He worked many years in several of the surrounding coal mines of Petros, his nickname was "Blue". He loved just spending time with his wife Julie, his children and grandchildren and his beloved 3 legged Alaskan Husky: Rocky.

He is preceded in death by his parent: James Leon and Hallie Harris Conner and Stepmother: Eva Smith Young Conner, Brothers: David and Bill Conner, Sister: Wanda Hunter, Mother and Father in-law: Dean and Doris Hardwick, and sister in-law: Arlene Farr.

He is survived by his wife of 24 Years: Julie Conner
Daughter: Stacy Cox and husband Doug
Son: Robby Conner and wife Jeanine
Sisters: Angel Castle, Lou Dean Bradshaw and husband Jackie, Carolyn Basler
Step-Sisters: Loretta Champion and Lois Thompson
Brother's in-law: Danny Hunter, Danny Hardwick and wife Rynda, Steve Back and wife Loretta
Sister in-law: Darlene Seiber
3 Grandchildren: Brianna Cox, Jessica and Charlie Conner
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM with Bro. Lonnie Lowe officiating. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 1:00PM in the Butler Cemetery, Oliver Springs, TN.
