Richard Garza, of Petros TN

Richard Lee Garza, age 60 of Oak Ridge, TN, currently residing in Petros, TN, passed away after his struggle with cancer, on January 24, 2019. A free spirit and loving father, he was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and well known for playing bass guitar in local bands and his involvement with local sports.

He is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Garza of Oak Ridge, TN and his father Jessie Garza of Chicago, Ill.

He leaves behind his daughter, Heather Garza of Oak Ridge, TN, and his son, Kevin Helton of Oak Ridge, TN; Becky Douglas of Petros, TN, and other family and friends in surrounding counties.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 2:00-4:oo pm with the funeral to follow at 4:00pm Interment will follow in the Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright
