Raymond Newberry

Raymond L. Newberry age 84 of Wartburg TN. Went to be with his Lord on the morning of March 7th, 2015 from the Life Care Center of Morgan County,
He was born April 1st 1930 in Morgan County. He made his living as a steel worker in Joliet Il. And also worked in steel at the Tennessee Forging Steel in Harriman TN, and also worked for Morgan County until his retirement.
He loved working with wood and loved to hunt and fish in his early age. He loved to watch old programs on TV and loved his dogs very much as he became older.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Mildred Collins Newberry, Parents; Luther and Ethel (Wizzie)Newberry, Brothers Calvin and Bill Newberry , Sister, Edna Newberry all of Wartburg.
He is survived by sons; Kenneth Ray and wife Donna Hamby Newberry, Carey Lee and Todd Newberry and FiancAC.e Tiffany Miller all of Wartburg.
Brothers; M.L. and wife Peggy Newberry, of Chattanooga TN, Bobby Newberry, of Wartburg. Sisters; Rena Mae Edington and Geneva Ann Beatty both of Ootawa TN and sisters in-law Mary Newberry. He had two grandchildren: Natasha Francis and Derrick Newberry and wife Jennifer. Four great-grandchildren: Kylie, Wyatt and Aylie Francis, Hunter Newberry.
He also had a special family friend Anna Cannon of Sunbright. He also had a host of nieces and nephews he loved very much.
Schubert Funeral Home of Wartburg will host the friends and family Monday the 9th, between 5 pm. And 7pm with the funeral service at 7pm. with Rev. Bill Durham officiating.
Granddaughter Natasha Francis, Bill and Joan Durham will provide the singing.
Graveside services will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church Memorial Gardens on Tuesday the 10th at 11:00 am. Lancing.
