Randell Newport

Randell Anthony Lloyd Newport, age 51 of Sunbright passed from this life on August 1, 2024. Randell is the son of Wendell Lee Newport and Marilyn Joyce Newport of Sunbright. Randell was a dedicated son, father, and grandfather. Randell was a volunteer firefighter, and he took pride in his family farm. He loved hunting, fishing, and just a simple life. Randell always tried to lend a helping hand to anyone he could help. He enjoyed picking on the people he loved and would do anything to make everyone smile. He will be greatly missed.

Randell is preceded in death by his father Wendell Newport; uncle and aunt Lemuel and Velva June Newport.

Randell leaves behind his mother Marilyn Newport of Sunbright; son Ethan (Destiny) Newport; granddaughter Oakleigh Newport of Bloomington Springs, TN; brother Jeff (Jackie) Newport of Sunbright and a niece, nephew, several aunts, uncles from Kentucky and multiple cousins as well. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 11:00-1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Webb and Rev. David Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright.
