Quenton Farley Henry “Dickey”, age 67, of Wartburg, TN, passed away on January 3, 2017 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was a graduate of Sunbright High School, class of 1967; Tennessee Tech University, class of 1971. Started with TN State Parks in 1970, TN Game & Fish in 1973, which later became Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, worked as an officer and area 31 Supervisor until his retirement in 2012. He retired as the Region 3 Supervisor for Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Quenton loved to travel. He had a vast knowledge of antiques, was a gun enthusiast, history buff, avid reader, talented woodworker, a naturalist and loved all animals; great and small.
He is preceded in death by father, Quenton Henry; brother, Jeffery Henry; paternal grandparents, Herstal and Pauline Todd Henry and Georgia Young Henry; maternal grandparents, Farley and Pearl Smith Davis; father-in-law, Fred Cromwell.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Lou Cromwell Henry; daughter, Summer Brook Henry; mother, Mildred Henry; sister and brother in law, Tammy and Kirk Adams; sister in law, Judy Henry; mother in law, Lois Cromwell; brothers and sisters in law, Leroy and Carole Cromwell, Wayne and Etta Cromwell, Jim and Sherry Cromwell, and Brenda and Tim Smith; beloved canine and feline companions, Rocky, Red, Beau, Gracie Mae, Marcie and Cleo; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 413 West Cumberland Ave., Knoxville; with reception to follow.
