PHYLLIS RAIHL DAVIDSON
Of Lancing, TN formerly of Joliet, IL. Passed away unexpectedly August 22nd
2012 at her home. An active founding member and Primary Elder of the
Bethel-Grace Free Will Baptist Church. Phyllis held the positions of
Secretary Treasurer & Treasurer of The Ladies Auxiliary.
Born October 10th 1941 in Terry, MT to Albert Raihl & Pearl Mathisen Raihl,
Phyllis grew up there until the age of 10 when she moved to Lockport, IL.
She graduated from Lockport Township High School. She married Morgan (M.T.)
Davidson on July 3rd, 1959.
Besides being an NOAA Weather Data Acquisition Program Manager from her
home, Phyllis was also an Election Official for many years. She was very
active in the community. Phyllis loved to travel & had been back to Montana
several times to visit family & friends. She had also traveled as far as
Israel to visit the Holy Land & was planning a trip this coming October to
California.
As an adventuresome person Phyllis has enjoyed Skydiving, Outward Bound,
backwater canoeing, whitewater rafting on the Salmon River in Idaho and
flying high over Deer Lodge & Lancing on her son Craig's powered parachute.
Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory, son Craig (Karla) Davidson of
Maryville, TN., Daughter Janet (Duane) Carlson of Perrysburg, OH &
granddaughters Morgan Taylor and Madison Marie Carlson. Brother Jack (Ann)
Woods, Sisters-in-law Beth Syler, Vera Davidson & Retha Davidson, Brother-in
Law John (Carol) Davidson & special Nephew Dale (Judy) Davidson & close
family friend Rob Norwood, along with a host of dear friends, family & her
church family. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Morgan (M.T.)
Davidson, Brother Albert Raihl, Sister Pearl Nelson, Brother's in law Wesley
(Dorinne) Davidson, Stanley Davidson & Jack Syler.
As in life, Phyllis in passing was a generous giver and gave as an organ
donor.
Visitation will be from 2 until 4 Saturday August 25th at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Memorial Services will follow at 4pm with Rev. Rick Taylor officiating.
