Perry Winningham

Mr. Perry Sherman Winningham, age 80 of Wartburg, passed away Thursday, October 15th, 2009 in the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mr. Winningham was born March 15, 1929 in Jamestown, TN. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a member of Adams Hill Church.
Mr. Winningham was preceded in death by four brothers: Obid, Jason, James, and Barrney Winningham; three sisters: Mary Ethel Winningham, Frankie Lena Winningham, and Myrtle Ann Ferrell; mother: Laura (Conaster) Winningham; father: Perry Bradford Winningham; and his first wife: Deloris Joan Newport Winningham.
Mr. Winningham is survived by his wife, Gladys Pearl Winningham; two sisters: Mable Pugh and Elva Hall both of Ohio; two step-daughters: Debi McGee and husband, Troy of Georgia and Calysta Gerhart and husband, Steve of Tennessee. One step-son: Hassel Ayers and wife, Deanna of Tennessee; seven step grandchildren; and six step great, grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 18th, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Danny Jones officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the Heritage Baptist Church Cemetery, Sunbright.
