Peggy Reed

Miss. Peggy Reed, age 70, of Burrville passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Golden Living Center of Clinton, TN She was a graduate of Sunbright High School and attended Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, KS. Peggy retired from the Morgan County School System where she worked for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church and a Sunday School Teacher until the church closed. She then started attending the Pleasant View Church in Alardt where she was a faithful member. Peggy spent her entire life serving God and others. She loved working with and helping children. Peggy had a way of making you feel extra special. She gave all of us a glimpse of what Christ's love is. Peggy was the bright light that shone for many people she was loved and cherished by all that knew her.

She is survived by her parents: Hollis & Lena Reed of Burrville, TN
Sisters: Robbie & husband Phil Levi of Kansas City, MO
Pam & husband Roger Lyons of Oak Ridge, TN
Brother: Joe & wife Joanna Reed of Burrville, TN
Nieces & Nephews: Mary Mehl, Matthew Levi, Holly Howe, Heather Patitucci, Heidi Kaiser, Anthony Reed, Mark Lyons, Ginger Pettitt.
Also survived by several great nieces and great nephews and other friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 1-3 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 3 pm with Dr. Sam Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery, Oneida, TN
