Paul Potter age 82, of Wartburg, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 in the Livingston Regional Hospital. Paul served over 40 years on Morgan County Rescue Squad. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Sophronia Potter; wife, Aleda Bowlin-Potter; brothers, Arnold Jr, Clenice, Edwin and Mary Potter; sister, Imogene and Carl Lawler.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Potter-Bush of Harriman; son, Lendal and Telessa Potter of Wartburg; grandchildren, Nicole Potter-Griffith, Lynetta Potter and Zach Combs, Jonathan Bush, Jennifer (Matt) Bush-Brown, Gregory Potter; great grandchildren, Bailey Griffith, Kinsley Combs and Alyson Brown; sisters, Helen (Jim) Mize, Hazel Dixon, Bessie James; brother, Ralph Potter and a host of nieces and nephews and special friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Mitch Hawn and Bro. Robert Freels officiating. Graveside will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Potters Chapel Cemetery in Lancing.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Morgan County Rescue Squad or your local Rescue Squad in his memory.
