Otto Morgan Jr., at approximately 1:15 a.m. on December 27, 2017 hopped on the Jesus bus, left the station and arrived joyously at Heaven’s gate.
He was a lifelong resident of the Lancing community. During his life he served 4 years in the Air Force and worked 30 ½ years in Oak Ridge. Also, during his life time he volunteered for 25+ years for the Morgan County Rescue Squad. Otto enjoyed looking at and working on cars, except for Fords. He also enjoyed helping people. He lived a very full life, was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Janet Morgan; 4 children; daughters, Melinda (Edward) Gomez, Becky (Carl) Hamby, Sarah (John) Ruppe, and son, Timothy (Michelle) Morgan; 6 grandchildren, Oriana, Luca and Lorenzo Gomez, Kaitlynn and Kayleigh Turner, Mackenzie Morgan and Dillion Shelton; 4 sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2017 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Church in Lancing, Tn. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Mark Langley officiating. Interment will follow in the Wartburg City Cemetery in Wartburg, Tn.
