Onder Hurst

(April 16, 1932 - June 20, 2012)

Onder Hurst, 80, of Bonneau, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday at Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center.
His funeral will be 7:00 PM Saturday evening, June 23, 2012, in the chapel of Shubert Funeral Home, Wartburg, TN. Interment will follow on Sunday at 12:00 PM in Morgan Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the hour of service Saturday evening.
Mr. Hurst was born April 16, 1932 in Middlesboro, KY, a son of John Harvy Hurst and Cleo Hubbs Hurst. He was a mason, and was a member of Wapakoneta Baptist Church in Wapakoneta, OH. Mr. Hurst loved motorcycles, guns, cars and semi-trucks. He dearly loved his family and sacrificed a lot for them. Mr. Hurst was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce H. Partin and Hazel Hurst, two brothers Toy Hurst and Jerry Hurst, and was a widower of Helen Jacks Hurst.
Surviving are two daughters, Kim K. Gootee, and her husband, Gary, of Bonneau, Lisa H. Bruno and her husband, John, of Irving, TX; a son, Benny Hurst, and his wife, Kay, of Amelia, OH; two sisters, Charlotte H. Masters and Wanda H. Lake, both of Lima, OH; a brother, Dewey Hurst, of Spencerville, OH; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Hurst was dearly loved and will be missed!
