Omer Freels

Omer Freels, age 73 of Sunbright passed away at his home February 8, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie Lou Freels, Mother: Vergie Norris, Father: Robert Fulton Freels, Brother: Conley Freels, Niece: Connie Ann Freels all of Sunbright.

Omer is survived by One son: Tony Freels, Sunbright
Daughter and Son-in-law: Diane and Joey Phillips of the Glades Community
2 special Granddaughters: Samantha Shannon of Glades and Jessica Olmstead and husband Matt, Oliver Springs.
A very special Grandson: Fulton Wayne Freels, Sunbright
Brother: Roy Freels
2 Half Brothers: Ronnie and Dale Norris
2 Sisters: Josie Eldridge and husband David and Charolette Griffith and husband Ira
Sister-in-law: Liz Freels
Many other special family members and friends.

In his school days, Omer was an avid sports player. He excelled in football, basketball and other sports.
He was recently recognized by Sunbright High School with special honors and achievements in football and basketball. In his older years, Omer enjoyed singing karaoke, gardening, watching sports on TV and spending time with his family.

Omer proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1964 - 1968. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and other loved ones.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Sunbright Church of God. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM with Bro. Jerry Robbins officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11:00AM in the Sunbright Cemetery, Sunbright.
