Novella Smith

Novella Savannah Ward Smith age 87, Sunbright went home to be with Jesus on June 15th 2015. Novella was a resident of the Burrville Community. She was an active member of Community Chapel Church in Rugby and was known by many, as a "Prayer Warrior". Novella was always faithful to GOD and prayed many prayers for people throughout the community. Novella especially loved her family and was always a positive example to them.
Novella is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Frank Smith along with their daughter Alberta Rose Smith. Parents, Elijah and Matilda Ward, brothers Fritz Ward, Orville Ward, James Ward, and Junior Ward, sisters Loreana Beaty, and Glisten Ward.
Novella is survived by Daughter Brinda Johnson-Sunbright, son and daughter-in law Larry & Connie Smith Burrville, Son Gerald Smith and Danita Randolph-Sunbright, Daughter and son-in-law Denise and Mike England-Sunbright, and Son, Dennis Smith-Sunbright
Grand Children, Meredith and Brent Laymance-Knoxville, Amanda and Michael Parsons- Rossville, GA ,Jared Smith-Deer Lodge, Greg and Carla Smith-Burrville, Travis Smith-Burrville, Kevin and Kendra Johnson- Somerset, KY, and Evan England-Sunbright, along with great grandchildren Korey, Colin, and Breckin Johnson, Dalton and Isiah Young, and Ethan, Aiden, and Alyssa Smith.
Novella is also survived by Brother, Bepo Ward-Burrville, sister and brother -in-law Betty and Gary Seabolt-Sunbright, sister and brother-in-law Louie and William Todd-Robbins, sister, Willadean Walker-Robbins, sister-in-law Shirlene Ward-Sunbright, sister-in-law Faye Ward-Cambridge City, IN, sister-in-law Pansy Blevins- Oneida, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Special friends: Ray Johnson, Barbara Smith, and Becky Smith.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff at UT Hospice for the care they provided.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM with Bro. Oscar England officiating. Graveside Services will be Wednesday at 11:00AM in the Laurel Dale Cemetery, Rugby.
