Norma Clark

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness in saying Norma Jewel Clark, age 85, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina went to be with our Heavenly Father June 11, 2024. She was surrounded by loving family and will be missed by all.

 Norma was preceded in death by her husband Henry (Jr.) Clark, son Brian Clark, parents Luther and Ruth Adkins, Sister Cleta and her husband Odell Cole, Brother JL and his wife Dorothy Adkins, sons in law, Paul McPherson and Herbert Thompson.

 She is survived by daughter Kitty McPherson of Florida, Elaine Thompson (partner Joe Thomas) of South Carolina, son Mickey (Jayne) Clark of Indiana and Teddy (JoEllen) Clark of Mississippi, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

 Norma grew up in Deer Lodge, TN with her parents Luther and Ruth Adkins. Eventually she settled in Orlando, FL with her family where she joined Oak Level Baptist Church and was a very active member. While in Orlando she worked as a seamstress at Walt Disney World where she was the recipient of many awards and eventually retired after 34 years. After retirement, she and Henry relocated to Grimsley, TN. After the death of Henry, her husband of 52 years, she spent the next 14 years in Marion, IN near her son Mickey and his family. In 2022 she made her final move to Pawleys Island, SC where she lived until her passing.

 The family will receive friends Monday June 17 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral home in Wartburg. The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with Bro. Bill Durham and Bro. Preston Adkins officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Deer Lodge,TN.
