Nina, "Miss Nina" to her many students, passed away at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Foremost, Miss Nina was a teacher who taught in 5 states and was the Morgan County Home bound teacher for almost twenty years. She taught Special Education and every other class that was offered in Morgan County including Welding.
Nina was born Sept. 4, 1943 in Bristol, VA. Her family soon moved to Oliver Springs where she attended through high school. She earned her B.A. at the University of Tennessee and her Master's degree at Tennessee Tech.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Rhudy and her two half-sisters June Szwedo and Emily Davidson.
Nina is survived by her husband H.C. 'Fuzzy' Orange and her many friends and students.
The family will receive friends Sunday January 26 from 2-3:00 p.m. at Oliver Springs United Methodist Church.
A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. where she was a faithful member, organist, pianist and director of music for many years. A reception will be held after the services.
Being a true teacher and following her wishes her body was donated to Medical Science so others may learn.
One of her last wishes was that a donation be made in her memory to the things dear to her heart: Greyhound Rescue Foundation of Tennessee, Appalachian Habitat for Humanity or to your local Church or School.
