Nell Spears

Nell Alice Spears, (Whalen) Born in Harriman, TN on October 14, 1921. Passed into her Eternal Life March 11, 2016. Nell was preceded in death by her husband Arland Andrew Spears. Nell and Arland were married on January 22, 1941.

Nell had one son, Gerald (Jerry) D. Spears. Jerry was married to Regina Kubacki in 1963.
Nell leaves two grandsons, Andy (Terri) and Chad Spears.
Nell had four Great Granddaughters, Ashley, Brianna, Kelly and Alexandra.

Nell worked for the Telephone Company for 40+ years and has been retired for almost 20 years. Nell had been active in The First Baptist Church in Wartburg since moving to Wartburg in the early 50's. Nell moved to Nashville in 2013 to live with family, and has resided at Elmcroft Senior Living for two years.

Nell was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4-7 pm Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Bro. Johnny Nix officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday 11 am at the Wartburg City Cemetery.
