Naomi Godwin

Mrs. Naomi Ruth Hensley Godwin of Petros departed this life on Friday April 22, after a long battle with cancer. She was retired from Brushy Mountain Prison. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed listening to and watching Coalfield football games. She was proceeded in Death by her husband of 53 years Jim Godwin, parents Clifton and Grace Davis Hensley, 5 brothers; James, Bernard, Lawrence (Bill), Johnny and Jack Hensley.

She is survived by one sister Marcella Thorton of Rockwood, Tn, brother Tom Hensley of Harriman, Tn, children; Pam White of Coalfield, Paula Daugherty of Petros, Penny Nunley of Petros, Son and Daughter-in-law Jimbo and Courtney Godwin of Coalfield, nephew Tom Hensley of Petros, Grand children; Paul and James White, Tara, Kayla, and Stephen Daugherty, Robert and Whitney Nunley, Cade, Cameron, and Mikal Godwin, Great Grandchildren; Emily, Alex and Nick White, Dawson and Aaron White, Connor Conlon and her name sake Naomi Kyndahl Brooke Harris and a host of nieces and nephews, family, friends, and special friends Trish Kennedy of Petros, Vicki Williams of Petros, Maureen Watson of Harriman, Tn, Creola Tucker of Phoenix Arizona, and one very special pet dog Samson.

The Family will receive friends Monday evening, April 25, 2011, from 6 to
8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. With funeral services to follow at
8 p.m., with Bro. Jim West officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday 2 p.m. Old Petros Cemetery, Petros, Tn.
