Minnie Armes, of Wartburg, TN

Minnie Ann “Granny” Armes 78 of Wartburg Tn. passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was dedicated to Morgan County by being the Administrator of Elections for 30+ years. She was also a member of the Star of Hope Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Jessie Shannon; husband, John M. Armes; sister, Sue Mahaney; brothers, Clarence Shannon and Tom Shannon; mother and father-in-law, Curlin and Lucinda Armes.

She is survived by her son, Tim and wife, Lorrie Armes; grandchildren, John T. and wife, Jessica Armes, Taleah and husband, Devon Crass and Jayden Armes; great grandchildren, Carson and Caroline Armes and Brecken Crass; sisters, Juanita and husband, Foye Armes, Lolita and husband, Bob Daugherty, Peggy and husband, Joe Budnik; brother, Bill and Nancy Shannon and brother-in-law’s, Hank Mahaney and Allen Armes. A host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Darrell Daugherty officiating. Graveside will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Flat Fork Cemetery.
