Michael Shannon

Bro. Michael Wayne Shannon, 33 of Wartburg, TN went to his eternal home with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. He was a kind and loving young man who was loved by all who knew him. Michael had announced his calling to preach many years ago and loved telling people about the Lord. Michael was especially proud of his job at Taco Bell where he had worked since 2007.
Michael was preceded in death by his Grandparents, John and Gladys Shannon of Sunbright, TN and Henry and Alice Aslinger of Wartburg, TN.

Michael is survived by his wonderful and loving parents, Jeffrey Wayne and Sheril Shannon of Wartburg, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Joe Freels of Sunbright,TN; Michael had a nephew and niece, John Wayne and Shannon Freels of Sunbright, TN that was the light of his world. So many special aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved dearly, especially his cousin, Beth Campbell, Aunt Carolyn Campbell, Uncle Jim Campbell and his cousins, Clayton and Caleb Howard. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Heather Galyon of Harriman, TN.
Michael had several nurses and personal staff he loved dearly, along with Quality Home Health, D&S community Services and AKM of Tennessee. Michael had so much love for everyone; he will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 13, 2016 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Mill Creek Community of Sunbright with Bro. James Griffith officiating. Graveside Services will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Schubert Funeral Home.
