Michael Melhorn, of Lancing, TN

Michael Lynn Melhorn, 65, of Gobey area passed July 24, 2018 at the Methodist Medical Center.

He came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior prior to death.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick Edmond Melhorn and Stella Hamby Melhorn; parents-in-law, Gurley Young and Emilea Adkins Young; brothers-in-law, Estel Young, Peter Prince and Earl Donald.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Doris Young Melhorn; daughter and son-in-law, Greg and Buffy Copeland; brothers, David (Betty), Don (Ruth), Stanley (Connie), Larry (Shirley) Melhorn; sisters, Shirley (Wesley) Bridwell, Millie Prince, Faye (Milton) Armstrong, Vicky Donald, Jerri (Jerry) Amonett; brother-in-law, Bailey (Wanda) Young; sister-in-law, Betty (Lonzo) Hamby and Mildred Fretag and a host of nephews and nieces. And his favorite dogs, Sarge and Daisy.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. James Griffith and Jeff Beard officiating. Interment will follow in the McCartt/Young Cemetery in Gobey.
