LEWIS, MICHAEL WILLIAM -45, of Bartlett, TN, passed peacefully, on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Harriman, TN on June 23, 1968; graduated from Harriman High School, attended Roane State, and University of Tennessee. Michael was baptized at an early age by his great-grandfather, Rev. Mark Scarbrough. Mike was a member of St. Phillip Episcopal Church and a railroad engineer with CN Railways.

Daughters: Hunter Lewis, 16, and Virginia Lewis, 12;
Mother and Pop, Frieda and Bob Bennett of Oakdale
Brother and wife, Jeffrey A. Lewis and Amber, of Goodlettsville
Father, Bill Lewis (Jan) of Cosby
Grandmother, Jacqueline Langley of Oakdale
Aunt, Sharon McBay (Steve) of Harriman; Uncle, Douglas Langley (Debbie)
Nana, Deloris Bennett
and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Although, Michael lived in the Memphis area, a part of his heart remained in East Tennessee with his love for his family, many childhood friends, love of the mountains and cherished memories. The family will receive friends at Piney Baptist Church in Oakdale on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, from 1:00 -2:00 pm, with services to follow with Pastor Pat McGee and Pastor Jim Disney.
