Mary Walker, of Wartburg, TN

Mary Freels Walker gained her heavenly wings on December 7, 2020 at Roane Medical Center.  Mary was born on February 21, 1959 to Betty Cooper Freels and Reid Freels.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Freels and father, Reid H. Freels; sister, Barbara Morley Butman and sister-in-law, Freda Freels.

Mary is survived by her husband and soulmate of 25 years, David Walker; daughter, Mary Anne Justice of Wartburg and Amie (Spunky) Brown of Harriman; sisters, Dottie Davis of Knoxville, Cheryl (Darrell) Wilson of Wartburg and Pattie Collins of California; brothers, Dennis (Janice) Freels of Wartburg, Charles Freels of Coalfield and Dave (Teresa) Freels of Clinton.

She loved her family dearly.  Mary loved and was so proud of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and she loved to spoil them.  Mary worked for years at Red Kapp in Harriman until it closed.  The job she loved most was working with her corrections family at Morgan County Jail.  She touched a lot of peoples lives during her years in corrections.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Charles Webb officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lane Cemetery in Lancing.
