Martha Louise Campbell Coleman, age 66, a resident of Sunbright went home to be with the Lord October 11, 2016 after a battle with Alzheimer’s.
Louise was born on August 8, 1950 and the oldest daughter of 12 children for Elder James Fred and Lucille Juanita Campbell. Louise met and married Carrington Lee Coleman in 1972. She had lived in Sunbright for the past 38 years.
Louise taught for 31 years in the Morgan County Schools and after she retired and served for the Morgan County School board.
Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a dedicated teacher. She enjoyed living and was close to her kids and grandchildren. She had a zest for life and will be sorely missed.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Elder James Fred and Lucille Juanita Campbell; brother, Robert Campbell, James Campbell and Raymond Campbell; and sisters; Idabelle Porter and Marie Aslinger.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Carrington Lee Coleman and by her 3 daughters: Tammy Trent and husband Mike; Melissa Bryant and husband Scotty; and Lisa Coleman and husband Chris Miller, all of Sunbright. Her 7 grandchildren: Aleisha Bryant, Laura Bryant, Alex Trent, Ashlin Trent, Houston Bryant, Addison Coleman and Gabriel Miller.
Louise has 12 surviving siblings: Freddy Vander Campbell and wife, Nancy Gail, of Bells, Tenn., Mary Ball and husband, Dennis, of Kingston, Bill Campbell and wife, Gayle, of Stockton, CA, Odie Campbell and wife, Donna, of Oliver Springs, Charles Campbell and wife, Lois, of Harriman, John Campbell and wife, Kathy, of Knoxville, Leonard Campbell and wife, Pam, of Oliver Springs, Randall Campbell and wife, Carol, of Knoxville, Reba Campbell of Oak Ridge, and Teresa Owens and husband, Mike, of Oliver Springs, Ann Noe and husband, David, of Oliver Springs, and Edith Partenheimer and husband, Richard, of Champaign, Ill. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She’s also survived by her special friend Karen Gail McGhee who cared for her the last 2 ½ years of her life.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 15, 2016, between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow with Pastor Tom Robins officiating. Graveside will be Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Burrville.
