Maggie McPeters Lowe

Maggie Joyce McPeters Lowe age 80, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family
October 19, 2013.
She was born December 19, 1932 to Grace Alice Hall McPeters and William Arthur McPeters, Sr. Maggie Joyce married Cordice Louie Lowe, Sr. on August 28, 1950.
She was preceded in death by Louie on July 10, 2010 after nearly 60 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Cordice(Butch) Louie Lowe, Jr. on March 7, 1997, she came from a large family and became the matriarch of a large family herself with 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was called Joyce by most of her family and close friends, but also went by Maggie in her later years. Joyce loved her family and was much loved. She was an example of selflessness and sacrifice. Her faith in God sustained her and influenced her entire family. Joyce leaves a legacy of love and of endurance in difficult circumstances. She will be missed.
Joyce is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Donna G. Lowe Curran and Bill, Beverly J. Lowe Anderson and Eddie, Gloria J Lowe Roberts, Darlene L. Lowe Hite and Dickie, also daughter-in-law, Robbie Hamilton Lowe.
12 grandchildren and their spouses, Jason M. Lowe (Mesha), Jeremy R. Howard (Simone), Julie A. Muse, Jennifer G. Maxwell, Justin C. Lowe, Donnie J. Jones (Tai), Jodi L. Phillips (Scott), John M. Hite (Karalee), Jessica R, Guthrie (Charles), Melissa "Joy" Bunch (Jason), Bobby J. Jones and Jerica C. Hite
15 great-grandchildren, brothers, Thomas Oatley, Louis Hall and Leon Paul McPeters.

Joyce was also preceded in death by sisters, Margaret June McPeters Wolf, Mae Agnus McPeters McGrew, Gladys Adelaide McPeters Cross and brothers, William Clyde, Everett A., James Clifton, Conrad, Gilbert Roland, George Vernon and William Arthur McPeters, Jr.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Covenant Hospice and Erica the RN and the CNA Joyce.

The family will receive friends at Schubert Funeral Home on October 22, 2013 from 2-4:00
