Lloyd Lowe

Lloyd Lowe of Rockwood, TN passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011. He was a proud member of the undefeated 1951 Wartburg Central High School Football team and a 58 year member of Ironworkers Local #492. He was also a 48 year member of Old Hickory Masonic Lodge #598, Scottish Rite, Al Menah Shriners, Eastern Star and The Order of the Amaranth. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Johnnie Beene Lowe and infant brother Donal Lowe.

Mr. Lowe is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Jo Long Lowe. Children : Robert Lloyd Lowe and wife Sandy of Mt. Juliet, TN, Tammy Jo Lowe of Villa Park, IL, Cindy Anne Lowe Brooks and husband David of Old Hickory, TN. Sisters: Nellie Lowe Hensley of Speedwell, TN and Loretta Lowe Duncan and husband Benny of Petros, TN. Three Granddaughters: Dawn Dedmon and husband Bobby of Mt. Juliet, TN, Carmen Lowe-Harris and husband Charles Harris of Ashland City, TN and Peggy Sue Cavitt and husband Andrew of Kingsport , as well as 6 Great-Grandchildren and an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home. A Masonic service will follow at 8:00p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 11:00a.m. also at Schubert Funeral Home with Dr. Jim West Officiating. Pallbearers are Steve Hensley, Randy Hensley, Tim Hensley, Tad Hensley, Mike Duncan and Herbert Duncan. A Graveside Service will follow at Petros Cemetery.
