Linda Young of Wartburg, TN

Linda Ann Young born June 24, 1958 was at her home in Wartburg, TN when she went to be with  the Lord on April 22, 2017. Linda was a loving, caring mother to Melanie Ann Brashears and son-in-law, Michael Brashears; proud grandmother to Taylor and Lindsey Morgan and Levi and “Little Michael” Brashears. Great grandchildren, Carson and Micah Godwin, Bentley Dean Morgan and Oakley Broshears.

Linda is also survived by husband, Roy Jones; brothers Ray Young, Eugene Young and Donald Young; sisters, Paulene McCann, Lorine Tackett, Charlene Jones and Carolyn Sue Carroll and many nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends; special nieces, Darlene Armes and Marlene Young and a very special long-time friend, Lowell Whaley.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Cordelia Young; sister, Mary Ellen Byrge; brother, Roy Truman Young.

Linda worked as a nurse for many years and was employed by the State of Tennessee of Morgan County Regional Complex. She was a caring daughter, loving mother and loyal friend to many. Linda’s smile would light up a room and she will be missed dearly.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 5:00 p.m. with Bro. Ralph Nance officiating. Interment will follow in the Armes Chapel Cemetery in Wartburg.
